Choose a clear target

Identify the role family you are moving toward and review several genuine vacancies. Note repeated skills, tools and qualifications. This gives your CV a specific direction and helps you see where you need more evidence.

Lead with relevant strengths

Write a short summary that explains your target and the skills you can bring. Put relevant projects, training and accomplishments where a recruiter can find them quickly. Keep your employment titles and dates accurate.

Translate experience, not facts

Describe previous work using language that connects to the new role when it is accurate. Customer support may demonstrate issue triage; operations may show scheduling and process control. Explain the context so the connection is easy to understand.

Address gaps with a plan

If a vacancy asks for a skill you have not used, do not imply otherwise. Consider a course, portfolio project or supervised experience, then state exactly what you completed and when.
