Write stronger achievement bullets for your CV

Turn routine responsibilities into concise, credible examples that show scope, action and results.

Start with the work

List the tasks that took most of your time and the problems colleagues relied on you to solve. Select examples relevant to the target role rather than trying to include every duty.

Use a simple evidence pattern

A useful bullet names an action, the scope or method, and the result. For example: “Coordinated weekly stock checks across three locations, reducing late replenishment requests.” Use a number only when you know it is correct.

Show transferable skills honestly

If you are early in your career, use relevant evidence from study, volunteering, internships or personal projects. Label the context clearly and do not present a class project as paid employment.

Edit for fast reading

Keep each bullet to one or two lines where possible. Remove repeated phrases, unexplained abbreviations and claims that lack an example. Read the bullets aloud to check that they sound natural and accurate.
